Phelo's Performance & Detailing ("we", "us") is a car valeting and detailing business operating in Maynooth, Kilcock and North Kildare, Ireland. We are the data controller for the personal data described on this page.

• Enquiry and booking details — the name, email address, phone number, vehicle details and message you send us when you use the booking form or email us. The booking form opens your own email app; nothing is stored on this website.
• Service records — the work carried out, dates and prices, kept for invoicing and tax purposes.
• Cookie choice — your consent preference, stored in your browser (see our Cookie Policy).
• Vehicle photos — we may photograph work we complete. Registration plates are obscured before any photo is published, and we only publish photos of your vehicle if you are happy for us to do so.

We do not ask for or knowingly collect special category data, and this site is not intended for children.

• To respond to your enquiry and provide the service you asked for — necessary for steps taken at your request prior to, and for the performance of, a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
• To keep invoices and accounting records — legal obligation under Irish tax law (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR).
• To run and secure this website — legitimate interests in operating a working, secure site (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
• Optional analytics, marketing cookies and publishing photos of your car — your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time.

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only where necessary with service providers who help us operate:

• Our website hosting provider, which serves this site to your browser.
• Our email provider (Apple iCloud Mail), which receives and stores booking enquiries.
• Our accountant and the Irish Revenue Commissioners, for invoicing and tax.

Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where they do, transfers are covered by an adequacy decision or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

• Enquiries that do not lead to a booking: up to 12 months.
• Customer and service records: up to 12 months after your last job, unless needed longer.
• Invoices and accounting records: 6 years, as required by Irish tax law.
• Cookie consent: up to 12 months, or until you clear it.

Under GDPR you have the right to:

• access a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
• have inaccurate data corrected;
• have your data erased where there is no ongoing legal reason to keep it;
• restrict or object to our processing, including any direct marketing;
• receive your data in a portable format;
• withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing already carried out.

To exercise any of these, email glenn.phelan@icloud.com. We will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with our response you can complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.

We keep personal data to a minimum, limit access to it, and use reputable providers for hosting and email. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
